Good News For Pitso's Al Ahly As Zamalek Dropped More Points

Good News For Pitso's Al Ahly As Zamalek Dropped More Points

Date: Tuesday, 23 November

Al Ahly is on a good start in the Egyptian Premier league with 5 out of 5 wins to date for the 2021/22 season. Al Ahly lost out to the Egyptian Premier league title last season as Zamalek was in a better form than Al Ahly who juggled multiple matches across all competitions, which saw them lose the title to Zamalek at the conclusion of the season.

Zamalek was unstoppable last season and did not easily dropped points in the Egyptian Premier league, and their only defeats was against Ghazl El Mahalla and Al Ahly. Zamalek now has a title to defend in the Egyptian Premier league, but as things stands Al Ahly has the upper hand this season with 5 straight wins claiming 15 points from 15.

Zamalek on the other hand already suffered a 5-3 defeat to Al Ahly for the season, and their latest 1-1 draw against National Bank of Egypt has seen them drop two more points for the season which should be good news for Pitso Mosimane and Al Ahly. After Zamalek's latest draw, the defending champions has dropped 5 points in their last 5 matches played which means they picked up 10 points from 15 points. Al Ahly now has the advantage after 5 matches played as they top the league with Zamalek sitting in the third place spot.

Zamalek luckily didn't lose against National Bank of Egypt as they had to come from 1-0 behind to level the score on 1-1. National Bank of Egypt opened the scoring in the early 16th minute of the match when Mohamed Helal scored for the 1-0 lead, and Zamalek levelled the score on 1-1 when Zizo scored in the 70th minute from the penalty spot. As Zamalek drew their latest fixture 1-1, Al Ahly enjoyed a 3-2 win against Ghazl El Mahalla.
