The PSL is one of the best in the leagues in terms of monetary value for the players and all stakeholders involved. Mamelodi Sundowns is arguably the richest team in the country and it no secret that the players get paid well. We've seen a shift in recent years as the standard rates improves, players are now able to afford more as compared to previous generations. Social media is the preferred tool for them to show off their wealth.
This duo is a product of Supersport United and they have been longtime friends. They reunited and Mamelodi Sundowns and they have been picking up where they left off. It has been a conflicting season for both of them, however they won't be complaining as they will have 3 medals to add to their collections. It will be interesting to see how they will integrate to the squad more especially with another ex Supersport United star joining them in Sipho Mbule.
Tebogo Mokoena and Aubrey Modiba took to social media to share pictures of themselves as they are currently on vacation. They were seen enjoying beach soccer in Dubai. This is definitely a show of passion as they are still thinking of football while on vacation. Playing football in the beach sand has been said to have positive benefits for players and helps with strength and technic.
Many teams have returned to training in preparation for the pre season. Mamelodi Sundowns won't be in a rush to recall the entire squad. The majority of the players had a long season as they won every trophy that was on offer in the DStv Premiership. They also made it to the knockout stages of the CAF Champions league.
Tebogo Mokoena joined Sundowns mid way through the season and he has had problems adjusting. He will have the advantage of having a lot familiar faces with the likes of Aubrey Modiba, Grant Kekana and many more. It will be an opportunity for him to stamp his authority with the defending champions.
