REPORTS : Gavin Hunt Is On His Way Back To Soweto?

With jobs in the PSL opening up, the one available at Swallows is close to being filled as a candidate for the job to turn around their situation has been identified.

The Dube Birds are without a permanent coach after parting ways with their long serving coach Brendon Truter who had been struggling at the club since the season started.

Now, the man who is earmarked to be in pole position to land the job is former Kaizer Chiefs boss Gavin Hunt who is also one without a job. He was recently given the axe at Chippa United after failing to make any impact, having joined in pre-season.

The club's CEO Sipho Xulu was mulm in giving out any information to confirm whether it is true or not that Hunt is in line for the job in Soweto. This after being referred by the club's Chairman David Magoshoa.

"There have been applicants but I cannot say whether Gavin Hunt's name is there or not because that is confidential information. All I know if that we have a lot of applicants, some we know them and some we don't know," explained Xulu.

Swallows must know that they would be taking a big risk if they appoint Hunt who has been tried and tested, being amongst the oldest coaches in the PSL, putting to consideration that football has evolved over the years.

It now remains a matter of time and only time will tell who will be the next Swallows coach to replace Brendon Truter who brought back the team to the PSL.
