Real Madrid Star Karim Benzema has been found guilty of conspiracy to blackmail his former france national football team (Les Bleus) teammate Mathieu Valbuena with an alleged s*x tape, the blackmail incident happened back in 2015, and the case was the main reason Karim Benzema was not involved with the France national football team for many years.
According to reports and an official statement from Karim Benzema's legal representatives, the in-form Real Madrid and France star has been punished with a 1 year (suspended) prison sentence and a fine of over R1 Million after being found guilty.
However, Karim Benzema will not serve any time behind bars because the 1 year prison sentence was suspended, a suspended sentence is a sentence on conviction for a criminal offence, the serving of which the court orders to be deferred in order to allow the defendant to perform a period of probation.
