Villareal picked up 2 away goals after winning 2-0 away from home to Salzburg in the Europa League first leg.
RB Salzburg hosted Villarreal in their first leg fixture in the Uefa Europa League Round of 32 and suffered a 2-0 defeat to the visitors Villarreal. RB Salzburg is now trialling by 2 goals in aggregate and need to score at least two away goals at Villarreal in the second leg to stand a chance of staying in the Europa League competition. Villareal were incredible as they managed to score in thd first and in the second half of the match as they picked up two away goals and kept a clean sheet in the match. Paco Alcacer scored in the first half as Fernando Nino scored in the second half to win the match 2-0 in the end.
Villareal opened the scoring late in the first half of the match when Paco Alcacer scored in the 41st minute to lead the match 1-0. In the second half of the match Fernando Nino scored the second goal in the 71st minute as Villarreal takes the lead at 2-0. Villarreal after defending their two goals, managed to win the first leg 2-0 in the end.
