Tshwane side SuperSport United are in for a major shakedown and it may come sooner than many think. The Pretoria side may in fact lose their status of being called Matsatsantsa a Pitori as they may be leaving town.
According to reports, United are said to be considering moving out of Pretoria, a city they have called their home for years They played their home games at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, until a few seasons ago when they introduced the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
It was reported on Saturday that united were cosidering a move to a much smaller stadium so that they manage the number of fans that actually go to their games.
“I think that’s a process and we’d be happy to look at that process, we’ve looked Daveyton at the Sinaba Stadium – which is a nice small stadium in the heart of the township where we think we can get nice support,” he said on the OTW Podcast.
“Highlands Park went to Makhulong and they made it a nice little fortress for them so it can be done. There are one or two municipalities that are putting in smaller stadiums as we speak.
