Two Orlando Pirates Players Struggle To Find Game-Time With The Club, Check Them Out

Two Orlando Pirates players struggle to find game-time with the club.

Date: Wednesday, 10 November

Orlando Pirates has some very good players in their squad, with all the new signings they added in the July/August transfer window they have some arsenal to their squad to challenge any team in the PSL and in the CAF Confederations Cup which is the two competitions they are currently being competitive in. Orlando Pirates unfortunately lost the Soweto derby to Kaizer Chiefs recently but that still doesn't change the fact that they have brilliant players who forms a brilliant squad.

As some of the Orlando Pirates players are getting regular game-time under co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids, some are just being sidelined left to watch matches from the bench. Orlando Pirates has a large list of injuries at the club, and having so many injuries, one would believe that many players who is not favourite to get game-time would get their chances to run out on the pitch for the club, but two players has fallen out of favour for regular game-time.

Ben Motshwari who started playing for Orlando Pirates last season making 43 appearances across all competitions, only made two appearances this season under the co-coaches which adds up to 14 minutes game-time, where he was favourite and a regular starter for Pirates under former coach Josef Zinnbauer. Some of the reasons behind his limited game-time this season are because of a combination of injuries and off-field issues, but also falling out of favour by the co-coaches which only they will know the reason behind it.

Nkanyiso Zungu is another player in the Orlando Pirates camp who is struggling to find game-time with the club. He joined the club from Stellenbosch FC and there was word of the player going back to the club on a loan term, but word of the player being part of Pirates plan, there was no loan deal performed. Seeing how Zungu is struggling to find game-time at the club, they should've rather send him on loan then to keep him on the sidelines.
