Hungry Lions FC continues their unbeaten run in the GladAfrica Championship

Hungry Lions FC are yet to suffer a death in the GladAfrica Championship to date for the 2021/22 season as they brushed off Cape Town Spurs for a 1-1 draw in their latest away fixture.

Hungry Lions FC might be newcomers to the GladAfrica Championship, but their performances says something else as they are still unchallenged in the National First Division after 5 matches played to date for the second place spot just behind Platinum City Rovers who is in the first place spot.

Hungry Lions FC has shown no fear to this stage in the competition as they have dealt with 5 clubs to date to remain unbeaten. Hungry Lions FC started the season with their first match against Uthongathi FC 0-0 at home.

On matchday 2, Hungry Lions FC Won 2-1 against Pretoria Callies away from home for their first win in the GladAfrica Championship. On matchday 3, Lions drew 1-1 at home against University of Pretoria FC. On matchday 4, Lions was back to winning ways, as they won 2-1 against Jomo Cosmos at home.

In their latest fixture, Hungry Lions FC faced off against Cape Town Spurs away from home, and picked up another point after the match ended in a 1-1 draw at full-time. Hungry Lions FC trailed the match 1-0 when Cape Town Spurs took the lead at 1-0 when Diassonama Bunga scored in the 46th minute.

Hungry Lions FC got back in the match when Vuyisile Wana scored in the 65th minute to level the score on 1-1. Hungry Lions FC held onto their goal and ended the match in a 1-1 draw at full-time for a point.

Hungry Lions FC is now in the second place spot on the GladAfrica Championship log standings with 9 points as they remain unbeaten to date after 5 matches played.
