That Team Is Not Strong - Mngqithi

Mamelodi Sundowns seems to be well on course to can go out and win the CAF Champions League if ever they manage to keep the current moment and form, they have been playing well and are consistent, the managed to beat the defending champions two times, in both home and away games, they beat them 1-0 in Cairo and beat them, they once again managed ro beat them 1-0 in Johannesburg last weekend and Manqoba Mngqithi feels that they are not a strong team at the moment.

According to reports, the former Golden Arrows coach says he doesn't feel that they played a steong team, he mentioned three teams which are strong and Pitso Mosimane's team is not among those teams, he believes Raja Casablanca, Waydad and Tunisia giants Esperance are the steongest teams in this season's Champions League, he felt the win against Al Ahly should not all be allowed to let the team get carried away since there is still a lot of work to do.

"In as much as I would love to take the credit for winning the match, I don’t want us to think this was the strongest team that we could have played in the Champions League this year. When I look at Raja, Wydad Casablanca, and Esperance, those are strong teams. Zamalek are already out of the group, they cannot advance any further and that tells you that there are other strong teams out there. We cannot get carried away and start to think we are bigger,” he said.

Sundowns needs just one point from the remaining two games to qualify for the quarter finals, on the other hand, Al Ahly still have so much work to do, they are on four points, six behind the 2016 Champions, as it stands, it is not guaranteed that the 2021 Champions will be able to defend their trophy, they could fail to qualify for the quarter finals.
