Their number one and trusted goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has been missing in action for close to five months and surely he has been missed by those who love sitting in the stands behind him calling out his name to make those stunning saves to deny opponents.
Khune last featured for Chiefs when Amakhosi playerd Mamelodi Sundowns on 15 August and now will be a feature in the upcoming DStv Compact cup that is set to take place later this month.
"Itu" as he is as he is affectionately known has been battling with injuries, probably downs to his age as he is no doubt one of the veterans in the PSL as a whole. This made Chiefs sign Nigerian goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi as back up to him back in 2019.
However, since Khune has been injured, he has not need relaxing as he has been very busy getting back to fitness, with the help of his wife on his journey back to full fitness and the DStv compact cup will be the perfect opportunity for him to show that be still got it.
