Ex-Chiefs launches new clothing brand

Life after football is a tricky part of life most professional soccer players struggle to deal with after hanging up their boots, most of them also find it hard to prepare for life after football while still active. The likes of Steve Lekoloea, Mbulelo Mabizela, and Sfiso Myeni are just of the few ex-players who have failed to prepare for life after the game, while still playing.

While they set the example of what not to do while still active the likes of Willard Katsande, George Lebese, and Bernard Parker are set to have a stable life after football, the trio has various businesses that are bringing in the capital to keep them sustained even after they decide to retire.

Parker(35) has a massage business and also holds qualifications in Sports management among others, Lebese alongside his wife, Melba Nkosi Lebese are joint owners of the lavish restaurant and nightclub in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, The Prestige Lifestyle Grand, and also has his clothing brand, Assets Clothing.

But either of them has come close to former Kaizer Chiefs Football Club and Zimbabwean international.

Katsande's success in the world of business lately, the 35-year-old who spent ten years at Naturena before leaving at the beginning of this season has seen his construction company, Katsande Partners grow rapidly in the last two months which taunted him to try his hand at another business.

The Sekhukhune United Football Club player took to his Instagram story @kingsalt31 to announce his new clothing brand, Boss Ya Mboka.

I feel what Katsande is doing is good for him and his family, but also setting an example for young players that there is life after football and one should plan for it.

We would like to congratulate him and pray for his business to be a success.
