Local clubs have already started preparing for the new season and a lot of activity has been happening on the transfer market.
Jele is a one man club and he has been the Bucaneers since he was a teenager in 2006.
But with age catching up with him, many are wondering how long the Bucs are willing to hold onto him.
According to Kick Off magazine, Jele will remain at Pirates for a very long time to come.
That is because Pirates are lining up a non playing position for the maverick long serving defender.
Ahead of his seventeenth season at the club, a managerial role is reportedly being lined up even though he played 33 games and scored four goals last season.
Jele's current contract expires at the end of June with the option of an additional year.
He is already the player with the most appearances at the club.
