Orlando Pirates coach Fadlu Davids has weighed in on whether Mamelodi Sundowns are overwhelming favourites to win the DStv Premiership after beating the Buccaneers last weekend.
The Brazilians have now toppled both Chiefs and Pirates in the last few weeks, once again highlighting their credentials as title favourites for the 2021/22 season.
However, despite Sundowns’ unbeaten start to the league, Davids has maintained that the Brazilians will not win every trophy available this season unchallenged. No we cannot write the league off, the league is not won after a game like today (Saturday), definitely not,” Davids told journalists.
The difference between Sundowns and other 15 teams is, Sundowns is playing to win Cups and the others are playing to win certain games.Sundowns is no longer competing but dominating the PSL. Sundowns ya trapa bafethu and alll the PSL Coaches are totally confused about Sundowns dominance.
Fadlu Davids is not good for big team but since people preach local is lekker there is nothing much I can say. Just take and look at the previous picture of Mamelodi Sundowns then come back to me.
Too early guys to talk about championship, ka five games only, Stuart Baxter still going to turn table. Some teams are already ahead and you know that they know how to maintain top spot for some years now, and yet you are busy saying is too early.
That's very possible if you start on a right foot durin marathon as a champ,no one will catch you causes of your experience. Sundowns are not notices in ths marathon race,so this foot they starting with their experience is a key.
