Axed Chiefs Striker Reveals Where He Is Going Next: Read More

When a soccer player parts ways with a club which he has been playing for along time, he has to make a plan for the way forward, beside after all life does go on whether you are out of work or not.

Most of the players who are now Clubless in the PSL may come from Kaizer Chiefs who underwent a big squad overhaul, letting go of most of their big name players immediately when the 2021/22 season came to an end.

While most of the affected players have been quiet, Colombia striker Leonardo Castro has given insight on what is next for him now that his job at Kaizer Chiefs is over.

"I’m going back home next week. I could have been already home since the beginning of the month but I have been waiting for the kids to close at school first before we leave. I have been very far away from home for a while now. Once I’m back home I will see what happens next but the beauty about all of this is that I will be with my family, " explained the departing striker.

He scored 29 goals during his time at Naturena after joining from Mamelodi Sundowns where he spent two and a half years winning the league, Telkom KnockOut, CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup.
