AEK Athens won their latest fixture in the Greece Super League 4-2 against Larissa after Nelson Oliveira scored a double for his side. AEK Athens picked up a valuable three points away from home as they managed to extend their lead in top with a 6 points gap, between them and second placed team CSKA Sofia. After the win Athens ended on 42 points as Sofia sits on 36 points on the table. Nelson Oliveira secured the win for his side when he scored his two goals the first half of the match which cemented the foundation for the win. Christos Almpanis and Damian Szymanski were the other two scorers for Athens as they both scored in the second half injury time.
AEK Athens opened the scoring in the 14th minute of the match when Nelson Oliveira scored the opening goal of the match form the penalty spot. Nelson Oliveira made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute of the match when he completed his brace of goals. Alexandros Nikolias scored for Larissa in the 70th minute and Mathias Acuna scored in the 80th minute as the score level on 2-2. Christos Almpanis scored Athens back in the lead when he scored in the 90+1 minute and Damian Szymanski in the 90+7 minute as AEK Athens won the match 4-2 in the end.
