The debate on who should be Kaizer Chiefs number one(1) goalkeeper has been going on and on for sometime and now we @okzydeboy reports break it down for you, on who should be the number 1 goalkeeper at South Africans most supported club.
Daniel Akpeyi is an international goalkeeper at the Nigerian senior national team as reported on www.soccerladuma.co.za but he has since seen less game-time due to the emergence of Watford new goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who is now the number one goalkeeper.
Itumeleng Khune is no longer part of the Bafana Bafana set up due to his recent poor performances at club level, but his recent showings at the DSTV Compact Cup has reminded the Kaizer Chiefs faithful that class is permanent.
If we are to judge the two goalkeeper's on their performances and experience, Itumeleng Khune wins the round.
He knows South African top flight league football better and the Kaizer Chiefs set-up from the youth level, what he just need is support from the technical team.
Take nothing away from Daniel Akpeyi but it is Itumeleng Khune who deserves to be the man behind the goal posts for Kaizer Chiefs.
Let us know your thoughts on who should be the Kaizer Chiefs number one goalkeeper between the two veterans, Khune or Akpeyi?
