"The only way chiefs is going back to winning trophies is to release all seniors players "

Katlego 'Killer' Mphela, a Mamelodi Sundowns icon, feels Itumeleng 'Itu' Khune, a former Bafana Bafana colleague, should leave Kaizer Chiefs.

The talented goalkeeper has fallen out of favor at the Soweto giants, making no appearances in the Premier Soccer League for the squad in the 2021-22 season.

Mphela, who has played with Khune at both Bafana and Chiefs, believes the 34-year-old still has a lot to give despite being downgraded to a fourth-choice keeper at Amakhosi.

Khune is not the only player that fans wishes should be released. Fans wishes that kaizer chiefs should release most of their senior players in order for them to have a chance to win the league

"The only way for this squad to return to winning trophies is for all senior players to be released. Why can't we release them like Sundowns does every season? Billiat's and Dolly's salaries have been reduced once more"

Some people also think that kaizer chiefs should reduce billiat's and dolly's salary.

"management can't see that overpaying these players kill Amakhosi's football"

"Please give khune play time, the guy is almost in his last soccer days, why deprive supporters and fans of their last chance to see the their beloved guy doing what he does best? The supporters and fans still love the guy and am sure they would like to see him play his football."
