Opinion: How Pep Guardiola might line up his team for the game tomorrow

Manchester City's Pep Guardiola will face Leicester City in an English Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. It will be a huge test for the Spaniard.

Both teams will be coming into this game in drastically different shapes and sizes. While the champions are currently favourites to retain their title following a sensational run that began in early November, their inconsistent opponents enter at the Etihad Stadium having been eliminated from the EFL Cup in dramatic fashion in the quarter-finals last season.

Pep Guardiola is set to stick with his standard 4-3-3 formation, with Ederson retaining his starting position in goal.

As long as Kyle Walker is out, Joao Cancelo might be used as a right-back, with Zinchenko occupying the opposite flank of the field.

Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias are anticipated to establish a strong defensive partnership in the center of the defense.

Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, and Bernardo Silva should form the core of the team's midfield, with Jack Grealish available on the substitutes' bench.

It is likely that Phil Foden would play as a false nine, with Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling assisting him from the flanks.

Below is an example of a possible lineup, as illustrated by the diagram:
