Family looking for missing ex-Downs star

In the PSL era a number of well known players in South Africa have failed to keep to the basics in life like keeping in touch with the club at certain times.

Some of these well known professionals have failed to adhere to this simple rule and at times going AWOL during the crucial time of the season.

The 18th of January 2022 will go down in history as one of the most tragic days in South African football as according to emerging reports Khayelihle Shozi who happens to the product of Mamelodi Sundowns has gone missing. As of late there is a viral voice note on Facebook where the narrator goes to detail that Khayelitsha Shozi's brother is looking for the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder.

In that voice note the narrator can also be heard saying that a missing persons case was reported to the police but however Khayelihle Shozi's brother did not receive any assistance. Furthermore the well spoken gentleman in the voice note would go to share that according to the family Khayelihle Shozi is now mentally disturbed.

Furthermore the narrator would go to share that before Khayelihle Shozi went missing there was a dispute between TS Galaxy and JDR Stars as they both believed that the 27 year old footballer was contracted to them.

Furthermore the gentleman in the voice note would go to say that Khayelihle Shozi's brother tried to get in touch with the owners of TS Galaxy and JDR Stars with the aim of asking about the whereabouts of his younger brother but his efforts yielded no results.

During his time at Mamelodi Sundowns Khayelihle Shozi spent most of his time playing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge where he was touted as the next best thing in South African football after joining the Brazilians in 2010. Failing to make an impact at Chloorkop he was later sent out on three consecutive loan spells to Supersport United, Black Leopards and Richards Bay FC before the defending DStv Premiership champions announced his exit in 2017.
