Rulani expresses his delight at Sundowns' qualification for the CAF Champions League.
Sundowns advanced to the next stage of the continental competition in impressive fashion with a 4-2 win over Al Hilal.
The Brazilians took an early lead in the second minute through striker Peter Shalulile, with Tebogo Mokoena and a brace from Thapelo Morena securing a comprehensive victory for the visitors.
In the aftermath of the game, Mokwena congratulated Mamelodi Sundowns on "officially qualifying."
"We were already assured of mathematically advancing to the next round because we came into the game with ten points and because of yesterday's result."
"Having already qualified for the tournament, it wasn't an easy game, especially when you had to deal with the conditions and heat against a strong Al Ahly side," said the coach.
I want to express my heartfelt congratulations to our players for their incredible perseverance and team spirit in ensuring that we won the game."
A game on April Fool's Day will pit Sundowns against Al Merrikh in their final Group A match on Friday.
