High Rated Ndah Gives Chiefs A Cheap Penalty To Win The Derby

After having gone into half-time without a goal from either side, it took only three minutes from the re-start for Kaizer Chiefs to find the opening goal through their consistent goal source Keagan Dolly who calmly finished a beautiful pass from his partner is crime Khama Billiat on the 48th minute.

Chiefs capitalised on a mistake from the errotic Thulani Hlatshwayo who attempted to play a back pass to his goalkeeper from the half way line, his shot was too short to reach Siyabonga Mpontshane and Billiat managed to chase it before laying a beautiful pass for the on-coming Keagan Dolly who calmly spotted it pass the advancing Mpontshane who was well beaten.

The Buccaneers never made it easy for Chiefs as they kept on trying to Force their way into the opposition box while trying to get an equaliser, they literally pinned Amakhosi in their own half as they strongly pushed for an equallising goal, but they could not break the intact defense led by Mulomowandau Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso, they protected Daniel Akpeyi pretty well, making sure that they don’t allow Pirates to play behind them.

Hlatshwayo was once again caught in possession and almost committed yet another mistake as he lost the ball to the speedy Khama Billiat on the 75th minute, he was just lucky to have his defensive partner Olesah Ndah who was in a good position to clear the ball away for a thrown in.

Billiat broke down the right and outran the Nigerian defender Ndah on the 79 minute, but Mpontshane denied him the goal after he tried to put it past him, he made great save to keep the score at 1-0 and hope that his team will manage to get an equaliser.

Pirates kept on pressing in the last 10 minutes of the game and their effort were rewarded on the 87th minute of the game as they took advantage of a mistake by Daniel Akpeyi who had very little to do, his mistake allowed Linda Mtambo to pounce and scored an equaliser.

Victor Hlungwane pointed to the penalty spot on the 90th minute after Ndah fould Billiat inside the box and Dolly stepped up to take the penalty and sent Mpontshane the wrong way to complete his second brace of the season. It ended 2-1 with Amakhosi on the winning side.
