It seems like none of the Amakhosi goalkeepers is good enough to replace Khune. Bvuma keeps punching or swiping the ball instead of catching it. He makes unnecessary mistakes and they helped Mamelodi Sundowns players to keep pressing Kaizer chiefs.
N. Blom 5/10
He was not effective going forward but he was very good defensively, making sure that Themba Zwane was quiet.
S. Ngezana 5/10
Shalulile gave him all sorts of problems but he kept clearing balls from the 18-yard area and making good interceptions. Was beat many times by the Sundowns forwards and for the Sundowns goal, he didn’t do enough to stop the shot.
R. Mphahlele 6/10
Won most of his aerial battles against the dangerous Shalulile and he positioned himself well on most occasions.
R. Frosler 7/10
He was very unstable at the beginning of the match but after the 30th minute, he started playing well, making that left side his own and playing a couple of one-twos with Billiat. He read the game well.
C. Alexander 4/10
Not a good game for him, he allowed Mamelodi Sundowns to control proceedings and he was outrun in midfield. Too slow to cover and make tackles and he didn’t assist much in the attack.
P. Nange 5/10
He did score a goal but he was poor throughout the game, he is not doing enough to cement his place in the starting lineup. He scored a well-taken goal though.
K. Dolly 6/10
Good movement and vigilance, he was very lively and he always spotted forward runs from his teammates and fed them the ball. Could have won the match for Kaizer Chiefs but he missed a penalty.
K. Billiat 7/10
He could have scored a couple of goals but it was not his day. A great game for him, he made the runs, creates chances, passed the ball well, and charged at defenders. He was fighting for a goal and he gave his all, he looked like the most likely Kaizer chiefs player to score a goal.
L. Castro 4/10
He looked tired and dispirited. He doesn’t have the hunger and the drive anymore and he didn’t impact the match in any way.
