Football fans flooded social media with messages of recovery to this Orlando Pirates star after a head on head clash with his teammate Sphesihle Ndlovu. He continued after the incident only to go down a few minutes after heading the ball and was immediately substituted for Linda Mntambo. Many were left genuinely concerned after he went off over his health as many speculated that he might've suffered a concussion during the clash of heads, his teammate who looked he got the bigger hit soldiered on and was crowned the man of the match.
Orlando Pirates went on to win the game 2-0 courtesy of early goals from Deon Hotto and Vincent Pule. Many fans felt that they could've scored more, however many will take the win against a Capetown City side that has proven to be elusive over the past couple of seasons against the Buccaneers.
Thabang Monare took to Instagram to share that to fans that he was safe and stable after the incident as he went to give thanks for the messages he received. The star was grateful for all the messages of concern and love he received from the fans and the football community in it's enterity.
The midfield maestro has slowly cemented a place in the starting lineup and his combination with Ben Motshwari has done wonders for Orlando Pirates this season. The host iDiski TV Nkululeko Ngewu came out to slam the match officials and Pirates bench for letting Monare continue after he was visibly knocked post the incident, however this recent update shows that it wasn't as bad as people thought it was at the time, and that is also justified.
Nkululeko Ngewu was right in his thought process as many will know that head injuries can be fatal and it is mandatory to stop the game whenever it happens not only in football but most contact sports. American football star Colin Kaepernick famously boycotted the NFL for the same issue of not taking care of the players and treating concussions as seriously as they are. English star Tony Aveyard lost their lives in the football pitch as result of a head injury.
Thabang Monare however assured fans that it was not that serious, fortunately and hopefully he will be back to continue where he left of in the field of play. Orlando Pirates will face Jwaneng Galaxy next in the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday as they will look to extend their winning streak to 3. This star will definitely be needed to ensure the Buccaneers come up with a positive away result.

02-10 17:34:10At least he can be quickly recovered, this is good news cause he's the only pirates defensive midfielder which they have this season, if he has got injury the back four has got no cover.
