Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jeremy Brockie has gone down the memory lane on the day he saw his name on injury list when he was 100% injury free, but for whatever reason known by Sundowns, they put his name up on their Twitter handle together with those who are truly injured.
The New Zealander says through his entire football ing career, he has never seen a team that lied in the way in which Sundowns lied that day, he added that they had a great training on a Friday and all players were looking forward to the game on Saturday, only for him to see his name on the list of those who are not available due to injuries.
The former SuperSport United striker also added that when he saw his name, he just couldn't keep quiet, he couldn't hold back and reacted immediately and replied that the post is lying since he had no injury at all only for the team to go back to their social media platforms and delete the post.
"I never met such dishonesty in my Football career. On Friday we had a great training session and on Saturday morning during match day, I saw a Club's post on both Twitter and Facebook updating people about lads that will miss out, they wrote injury list. I saw my name there. I couldn't hold back to reply that 'it's a lie am not injured'. And 10 minutes later.. the post was taken down and they post a new list. Even if you have a lot of money but try to be professional and be honest about your employees. If you don't want me in your team say to my face, don't list me among injured people,"
The 33 year old spent more time on the bench at Sundowns than in any other team that he played for, he left after the frustrations he went through in Chloorkop after joining the team from SuperSport United.
Before joining Masandawana, Brockie was a snipper, he was in hot form, he used to score goals each almost ever game he played for Matsatsantsa a Pitori, but he somehow lost his scoring boots when he signed for Sundowns, he played 13 games between 2018 and 2020 and only scored one goal after he played 81 for SuperSport and scored 28 goals.
