Cape Town City Confirm Starting Lineup against kaizer Chiefs

Cape Town City have announced their starting lineup for this evening's encounter against Kaizer Chiefs.

The Citizens visited to FNB Stadium in their honour of the club's game against Amakhosi.

CT City head to the game occupying the tenth position in the DStv premiership log table.

The club head to the game gunning for a top eight spot.

A win for the club will get them to 17 points and on position eight in the log table, however that will depend on results of the game of Amazulu against Royal AM.

Amakhosi are heading to the game occupying the second position in the log table with 22 points after 13 games played.

The club will be aiming to close the gap from Mamelodi Sundowns at the summit of the log table.

Amakhosi are eight points behind Sundowns who have collected a total of 30 points in 12 games played so far this season.

Amakhosi will be also be aiming to cement the club's second spot in the log table which is under threat by four teams, Royal AM, Stellenbosch FC, Supersport United and Sekhukhune United.

However there are doubts that the game will go ahead after Chiefs confirmed that the club has been hit by the outbreak of Covid-19.

The club wrote a letter to the Premier Soccer League on Friday requesting for the postponement of the game, however the league has not responded to the club's request.

On Friday afternoon the club confirmed that they will not honour the game against City because most of the club's players are not available.

However City confirmed that they will be at the stadium during the kickoff time of the game because they did not receive any correspondence from the league that states the game has been postponed.

Starting eleven: Hugo, Fielies, Fasika, Mkhize, mokeke, Mashego, Makola, Goedman, Martin, Lakay, Nodada.

Subs: Mpandle Morris, Mayo, Dove, Mapfumo, Mokhuane, Fisher, Mdantsne.
