Pirates co-coach names his ideal signings for the transfer window
Orlando Pirates latest results in the Dstv Premiership clearly indicates that they still need to improve a bit in areas of concern. Orlando Pirates defence is rock solid if we have to consider their last four matches played across all competitions ended in the club winning clean sheets. Pirates out of their last four matches won two and draw two matches without conceding, but their latest fixture against Baroka FC which ended in a goalless draw has pointed out that they should still work on their attack. Deon Hotto missed a shot after he defeated the goalkeeper but failed to find the back of the net as Pirates missed a chance of winning the match 1-0 at full-time.
The January transfer window are on the way, and clubs in the PSL will now get another chance to alter their squads in areas where it lacks professionalism and control. The January transfer window marks the halfway point of the 2021/22 campaign meaning clubs can add new additions to help them improve for half a season to get into better positions on the log standings.
Orlando Pirates clearly needs players in the attack still to put up a more competitive fight for the second-half of the season, and the January transfer window will be the perfect platform for the club to do just that. Orlando Pirates co-coach Fadlu Davids when asked about signings for the club in January, he said the club has enough quality.
"I think the transfer window... we'll get some great signings in and internally of you take Pule could be back, if you take Lorch being back, if you take Lepasa being back, if you take Ofori being back. Let's be honest, Lepasa, Lorch, Pule, that's our starting line-up front three and it's clear we're missing them. Those are the boost that we will get in January with all our main players coming back", said Davids when he spoke to the media.
Fadlu Davids feels that the players making their way back from injury is his ideal signings for the transfer window, but that does not answer any questions if Pirates will add new players to the squad, we'll just have to wait until January to see what happens.
