Cape Town All Stars suffered a 2-1 defeat to University of Pretoria FC from behind

Cape Town All Stars played against University of Pretoria FC at home and suffered a 2-1 defeat to the visitors.


Cape Town All Stars played their latest fixture in the GladAfrica Championship against University of Pretoria FC at home, and suffered an unfortunate 2-1 defeat in the end. Cape Town All Stars who had the home ground advantage in the match, managed to score the opening goal of the match very early in the first half of the match, when Phineos Neo Mphuthi set up the lead for the home side when he scored. Cape Town All Stars after their superb effort to lead the match, could unfortunately not defend their lead as University of Pretoria FC managed to come from behind and claim the lead. Oswin Appollis and Sanele Barns scored for the visitors as they came from behind to lead. The match ended in a 2-1 win for University of Pretoria FC as they claimed all three points from their away match.

Cape Town All Stars opened the scoring in rhd first half of the match when Phineos Neo Mphuthi scored the opening goal of the match in the 17th minute to lead at 1-0. University of Pretoria FC equalised in the 33rd minute when Oswin Appollis scored to level the score on 1-1. University of Pretoria FC managed to claim the lead for themselves when Sanele Barns found the back of the net in the 80th minute of the match to lead at 2-1. University of Pretoria FC held onto their lead and managed to win the match 2-1 at full-time.
