Kaizer Chiefs to grossly benefit from the announcement made by the Psl chairman Dr Irvin Khoza

Kaizer Chiefs will be the happiest team at the moment following the announcement made by Premier Soccer League chairman Dr Irvin Khoza on Friday as the league is set to resume this coming Tuesday.

The Psl chairman confirmed that the upcoming transfer window period would run from September 22 to November 17, a period of eight weeks, and this bit of news will be welcomed by Amakhosi who are facing a two-season ban given to them by FIFA.

The announcement by the Psl chairman will mean that Kaizer Chiefs will still have time to sign their desired players even though they lose their appeal on the ban, which os expected to be heard on the 9th of September with the outcome expected within a month.

Kaizer Chiefs were handed a two season ban by FIFA following the way that they handled the transfer of Madagascan international midfielder Andriamirado "Dax" Andrianarimanana in 2018.

The player's previous club Fosa Juniors made claims that the player was still contracted to them and thus demanded a fee for his services.

The player who was also handed a four month ban, which has since elapsed is now on the books of Limpopo based club, Black Leopards and the club has since confirmed that they have received a letter from FIFA confirming that the player's ban has expired.

Amakhosi's ban from signing new players will mean that they could lose out on acquiring the services of their target players who include Sifiso Hlanti, Buhle Mkhwanazi, Thabang Monare, Cole Alexandra and Thabo Rhakale among others whom Chiefs have been chasing after.

The recent announcement by the Psl chairman will definitely breathe a sigh of relief to the Amakhosi family as they now stand a chance to sign some of those players without losing them to other clubs due to the ban.

Do you think Kaizer Chiefs will benefit from the recent announcement by the Psl?
