Premier League

Bakgakga-ba-Mphahlele have been relegated for the first since joining the Premier Soccer League.

Another team from Limpopo has been relegated joining the like of Black Leopard, Dynamos and Polokwane City. The only remaining team is Tshakuma which bought its way in to PSL.

Bakgakga-ba-Mphahlele have officially been relegated since joining PSL many years ago. The team from Lebowakgomo shocked many people when it defeated Kaizer Chiefs while still in the lower league.

Baroka FC has not been doing very well which makes the relegation that was expected. Unfortunately most teams struggle with sponsorship which is why they are usually unable to attract or retain talented players.

Mamelodi Sundowns is the most successful team in our country because it can afford the best players and also pay them very well.

The other problem is lack of development of players. Our municipalities are failing us by not developing sporting facilities where talent can be natured. The incoming SAFA president should prioritize development from grassroots level.
