Aubrey Modiba and Themba Zwane got into the scoresheet for away side in the second half after both teams played to a goalless draw in the opening first half.

Ronween Williams managed kept a clean sheet his first game for Sundowns after a save from which caught his defence out of position.
Sundowns walked away with maximum points and ended Cape Town City unbeaten record in opening fixtures.
