The president of Royal AM celebrated in style as her team defeated one of the biggest teams in South Africa Kaizer Chiefs. Mamkhize took to instagram to show her fans the expensive bouquet she received from Wongavida.
Shawn Mkhize and her Son even did a mother and son dance to celebrate the team's goals against Kaizer Chiefs.
Many men in South Africa still believe football is not for women and that Mamkhize is not worthy enough to have her own team. A female sports administrator said Royal AM will be kicked out of football by the patriarchy powers at the PSL and SAFA.
Mamkhize might not be the first women to own a team in SA but she is the first to show that women can lead football teams equally as men do, it has nothing to do with gender. Although women face more criticism and injustice in football politics we still want to see more of her and her team.
We hope to see more women take over the football world. More justice has to be done for women in football politics and patriarchy powers in football have to be defeated.
We hope to see more women follow in her foot steps. Football is for women too.
