Vuyo Mere is a South African well-known professional football player who is currently playing for the Soweto giants, Swallows Football Club as a defender.
The 36-year old was born in Bloemfontein on the 5th of March. He then started playing for Manguang united and also Hellenic FC during his youth days.
In 2001, Vuyo Mere was promoted to the Hellenic Football Club. The player managed to make 34 appearances in just three years at the Cape Town side. After spending three years at Hellenic FC, he was spotted by Mamelodi Sundowns. He eventually joined the Chloorkop based side in 2004.
Mere is considered as the legend of Mamelodi sundowns as he made 136 appearances, and also scoring just one goal. After spending seven years in the club, Mere finally left the club for Platinum stars. He also made 184 appearances for Platinum stars.
