The South African football governing body is anticipating big problems for its delegation. They are worried that they they could be blocked from entering into Morocco for CAF presidential election on March 12.
This is a big problem as Motsepe could be denied visa into Morocco in order to take part in the election in the city of Rabat.
SAFA CEO Tebogo Motlante, Danny Jordan and those who will go with them may be denied visa and entry into Morocco. This comes after SA was declared a COVID-19 high risk country by many African countries including Morocco.
This comes after South Africa discovered a new variant of COVID-19 which is set to be more infection than the previous one.
We are proactive about about the latest developments. We saw what happened to our club here locally the likes of Chiefs, were also denied entry into the country. We have written a letter to CAF secretary -general Abdelmounaim Bah. We are still waiting for feedback, as they will begin talks with Moroccan federation and government to resolve the issue said Tebogo Motlante.
They are aware that we have a presidential candidate in Dr Patrice Motsepe. We expect this to be sorted soon.
Motsepe seems to be a big threat to to western and eastern region in Africa. The are dirty tricks being employed to derail him for the position.
