Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye says if Amakhosi had hired him and former Orlando Pirates midfielder Bennedict Tso Vilalazi they could do much better than the overrated Stuart Baxter who is struggling to put together a winning team despite having the quality of players he has.
Speaking on IDiskiTV, Khanye said Amakhosi doesn’t need a coach, they actually need a coordinator, someone who will be able to coordinate the team and make the players believe in themselves, instead he says the coach is putting players under pressure.
"You see with that overrated salary, if they could put me and Tso and Ncane on the bench to coach Kaizer Chiefs, I played soccer, they actually need a coordinator not a coach that will put his players under pressure they need combination play," he said.
The former South African under 23 International also Baxter's decision to always replace Keagan Dolly, he feels he is the kind of player who should always be on the field despite not performing on the day, he should jus be there because he might pull something for the club.
He is also concerned that former Swallows FC winger Kgaukgelo Sekgota always comes on for Dolly and he want to see the two playing together.
"They have signed quality players, his selection is always questionable, if you check him out, he makes wrong subsitutions, the introduction of Agay and the replacement of Keagan Dolly, yes Keagan was not playing that well, but you don't substitute such player because he can produce something through he is not having a good game, he proved it when they played against Sundowns. When he was unfit and in the last two games.
"He takes him out and introduce Kgaukgelo Sekgta, why does he always replace Dolly with Sekgota? He should let them ay together. If you check Sekgota, his confidence is low, he takes unnecesary shots, trying to prove himself to the coach. Another thing, Lebohang Manyama, his confidence is low, missing that penalty against Mamelodi Sundowns did not do him any good."
When wrapping up his analysis, he was asked to say something about Samir Nurkovic, he said the Serbian is not a soccer player, him and Agaya are actually kick-boxing materila.
"I will put it as it is, Samir Nurkovic and Agay are not soccer players, if you can put them in kick-boxing, those guys can kick you very bad," he said.
