Ace Magashule with the Secretary General in the ANC before he was suspended. He is currently still under suspension. Some of the rules of his suspension include him not being part of any ANC activities or functions.
In the violation of his suspension, he addressed a public gathering, that mostly consisted of ANC members.
He spoke during the funeral of a previous ANC member, Paul Mlambo, who was buried last week Saturday. In his speech, he spoke about some of the ANC members who are still in the party and he also spoke about the ANC.

His actions further violate his suspension. Some individuals argue that a funeral is not an ANC gathering and that this does not in fact mean that he violated his suspension.
Ace magashule was suspended from the ANC in 2020 after he was implicated and under investigation of the asbestos deal that had questioning around it.
