'My club is not a circus' - Shawn Mkhize Claps Back At Mnisi

We have seen a new breed of football owners pouring into the PSL. These are usually business people who are coming to invest in the sport for various reasons. This has been intensified by the popularity of buying an selling teams. It has opened door to an industry that is almost flawed considering which angle you look at it from. The methods that are being used by these new owners have been questioned by the staunch football fans.

Royal AM arrived in the PSL last season after purchasing the status of Bloemfontein Celtics. They had a successful debut season as they finished 3rd and earned passage to play in the CAF confederations cup. It seems like things are crumbling after we saw the departure of John Maduks who was the head coach. The club's has also recently slammed the club publicly leading to an exchange with the owner.

Shawn Mkhize sat down for an interview to share her thoughts after Sinky Mnisi hosted a press conference. The Royal AM CEO slammed Mkhize for her leadership and went on to announce a hiatus. This led fans to believe that it could be the end of the relationship.

“My club is not a circus, I’m trying to create a big brand. I will not allow matters involving my club to be run by the media”

Shawn Mkhize went on to share that her club is not a circus. She shared that she is trying to build a brand, however it seems like Royal AM can't pull away from drama. She concluded by saying that everything will concluded privately instead of the media. She shared that she is focusing jet attention on the game against Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend.

“At this point in time I want to focus on the big game we have on Saturday. I don’t want to talk about the press conference”
