It is really hard for foreign players to adapt in the Premier Soccer League. It is even worse when you are playing for the Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates. The expectations at Pirates are always high every season and many players fail to live to those expectations.
According to the latest news, the Buccaneers are set to release the talented midfielder Austin Muwowo when the current season ends. The 24-year-old Muwowo from Zambia has failed to adapt and break into the Buccaneers starting eleven. The talented Muwowo has only played 29 minutes this season.
Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has preferred to use players such Fortune Makaringe, Thabang Monare and Ben Motshwari. Muwowo is very talented and Zinnbauer should've given him an opportunity to showcase his talent. It remains to be seen if Muwowo will be the only player to be released by the Buccaneers when the season ends.
