PSL Stars whose home were burned down in 2021

It is important to spread out your investments. In the past few years, many South African footballers have learned that putting all their eggs in one basket can lead to a total loss in the blink of an eye.

Most of these athletes now put their money into stocks, restaurant chains, and even real estate. In the year 2021, two well-known PSL footballers had to do some soul-searching. One of them had a huge financial setback.

We look at two well-known PSL football players whose homes burned down in 2021 and caused a lot of damage.

1. Itumeleng Khune

Itumeleng Khune has had one of the hardest and most character-testing years on and off the field in 2021. The goalkeeper for Ventersdorp hasn't played much because Daniel Akpeyi and Bruce Bvuma are both trying to be the number one player.

In March of this year, a fire broke out in a part of his family's home in Ventersdorp. His only sister, Meiki Mapula, died in the fire. At this point, it is still being looked into, so no one knows if the fire was caused by people or not.

In July 2021, his team Kazier Chiefs lost the CAF Champions League final to Al Alhy, which made things even worse for him.

2. Rodney Ramagalela

It is hard for both Itumeleng Khune and Rodney Ramagalela in almost the same ways. After getting hurt, the forward from Limpopo is going through a hard time in his career. The 32-year-old football player hasn't played for Chippa United at all this season.

New reports say that Ramagalela lost one of his most valuable investments on Tuesday morning when his eight-room house with a double garage burned down. Also, it was said that all of his things, including the furniture, had been burned to ashes.

Luckily, no one was in the house when it caught on fire, so no lives were lost.
