Orlando Pirates has definitely missed the presence of this youngster in the front line since his injury in December 2020. The Buccaneers have struggled in front of goal ever since this star was injured during a game against Chippa United. Josef Zinnbauer and his men found themselves in another sticky situation after losing to Golden Arrows 2-0 on Tuesday evening. Fans were left questioning the tactics as they have been playing without a natural striker with Gabadinho Mhango on the bench many were left hoping for the return of this star.

Zakhele Lepasa impressed at Orlando Pirates since returned from his loan stint at TS Galaxy and he had booked his spot on the regularly starting lineup before injury halted his progress. The recent form shown by the Buccaneers has caused fans to call for his return alongside Tshegofatso Mabasa. Pirates lost to Arrows a few days after a derby win and this inconsistencies have caused many to doubt the current squad.

Zakhele Lepasa shared the picture above on his Twitter profile and captioned it 'Fresh' this caused fans to speculate that he might be on his way to full recovery and could potentially return to the field of play sooner than expected.

Fans were excited to see a positive update from Lepasa after being in the sidelines for over a month and missing out on the Soweto Derby, however his presence is need by the club in order to challenge for the league and the Nedbank Cup domestically and the CAF Confederations cup. Gabadinho Mhango hasn't really come to the party for Orlando Pirates this season and many are anticipating the return of Zakhele Lepasa.

According to a statement that was published on Orlando Pirates website on the 22nd of January. The star is currently undergoing rehabilitation (4 weeks) with the strength and condition team. This update was published almost 2 weeks ago which means that there is roughly 2 and half weeks left until he will be training for with rest of the team. The same statement has been estimated for Tshegofatso Mabasa also. Orlando Pirates will need to find a solution soon until their trusted strikers return to the field and try to fix their woes on the offensive.
