Benny McCarthy is set to face Premier Soccer League (PSL) disciplinary Committee, Siya crew has learned. Siya crew received the news that the Usuthu mentor Benny McCarthy will face a DC regarding his bad reaction during the match against Supersport United in the DSTV Premiership clash last month.
Benny McCarthy has been warned so many times about his manner and actions towards other coaches and players, McCarthy has anger issues and he denies, says people provoke him in many cases.
This time his actions have gone too far, Benny McCarthy was caught on the camera exchanged strong words with Supersport United head coach Kaitano Tembo at the Jonsson kings park stadium. Former Bafana player was seen pointing Tembo with fingers and saying strong words to him during their clash.
Benny's outburst caused a stir in the football fraternity and is the last latest in McCarthy's well-document history of losing his cool on the touchline. Benny was yelling at Supersport United head coach Kaitano Tembo telling him that he lost a bit of respect for him and does why he is broke, some of the words he said won't be revealed.
Benny McCarthy was well known as a short-tempered guy while he was playing for Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana, he even got into a fight while he was outside the country. He came back and started to take part in the coaching department, he is recently coaching Amazulu now and there is where he found himself in hot water.
According to the source, PSL has summoned the Bafana Bafana star and Amazulu FC coach Benny McCarthy. The decision is set to be taken where Benny McCarthy will have to present his case to keep his job. Amazulu also wants to lay complain about the official referee, Jelly Chivani related to the penalty he granted to Kaizer-Chiefs in the last minute of the match this past weekend.
