AFCON 2022: Former Chelsea Player Whose Return To The National Team Can Boost Camp Morale (Opinion)

Victor Moses, a former Chelsea FC and Nigerian national team player, demonstrated his class last night in the UEFA Europa League competition. The former Chelsea FC and Nigerian national team player scored a goal as Spartak Moscow advanced to the next round of the Europa League.

In his current form, Victor Moses has been in excellent form since joining Spartak Moscow. His brilliance with the ball would be an advantage for the Super Eagles if Victor Moses were to return and this would also help boost the team's morale if he were to return.

The Super Eagles captain made a total of 37 appearances for the Nigerian national team during his time as a member of the squad. Victor made the decision to retire following the FIFA World Cup, which took place in 2018.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were one of ten sides to make it out of the group stage in the African World Cup Qualifiers in South Africa this summer. Gernot Rohr's team will be included in the play-off draw, which is expected to take place in a few week

The African Cup Of Nations event, which will take place in January 2022, will take place prior to the FIFA World Cup.

It was held in Yaounde, Cameroon, that the draw for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be proudly sponsored by Total Energies, took place. Following the draw, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) issued the official fixture schedule for the tournament.

The first game of this tournament will take place on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde, Cameroon, and will feature a match between the host country Cameroon and Burkina Faso.

Despite being drawn in Group C alongside Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea Bissau, the Nigerian Super Eagles are a team that can easily boast of star players from all over Europe. Gernot Rohr is the coach of the team.

However, in order to be successful in the upcoming tournament, Nigeria may require experienced players who can guide the team back to its glory days, and Victor Moses appears to be the ideal candidate for the position.

His return to the team will be a morale booster for the entire national team.
