Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi is among the coaches who is gunning for the Buccaneers to bring the CAF CC title at home.

Pirates coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids have a chance of ending the season with a silverware after failing to win a trophy in the domestic campaign this season.

Speaking to the media ahead of the final, Mngqithi has wished the Buccaneers well and also sent a message to the South African football fraternity.

"It’s very encouraging to have a South African team competing in that space, that should ignite a fire in all of us as South Africans," he said.

He added that it would bring a glimpse of hope to the South African football to see one of their own lifting a continental tournament.

Mngqithi said Pirates have done well in the tournament and they have the capacity to win it.

He said that he has a confident on Ncikazi and Davids because they have proven that they are a team that can win it.
