In modern football, many players in the PSL's top flight already know what they will do once they decide to hang up their soccer boots and most of the time it involves staying in the game as coaches or pundits.
However, a number of these professionals in the industry want to delve into something entirely different which is totally unrelated to the sport.
In the history of the PSL, former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani Mabunda is one of the known footballers in the industry who almost did a bit of both. In 2021 following his retirement from football, the 34 year old Polokwane born footballer was afforded a role as a brand ambassador at the Chloorkop based outfit, a club he served for 8 years according to his player profile on 𝘞𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢.
As of late, it appears as of the former Mamelodi Sundowns jersey number 13 has decided to venture into something different, which is ministry. On Wednesday, the Enlightened Christian Gatherings church in Mabopane which is one of the branches which was founded by Malawian prophet Shepherd Bushiri took to their Instagram account to share that they will be an outreach service this coming Sunday at their local branch in that part of the Limpopo province.
From the shared poster on their Instagram account, the church publicly revealed that the five time league winner with Mamelodi Sundowns will be leading the Sunday service as a minister. With that being said, it appears as if the 2016 CAF Champions League winner with the Brazilians has been ordained as a minister at the Enlightened Christian Gatherings church in his hometown province.
Did you know?
The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder maestro who is one of the most decorated players of his generation only had the privilege of earning 8 Bafana Bafana caps, according to his player profile on 𝘞𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢.
