South Africa has one of the best leagues in the world, however many will argue that this hasn't quite reflected when it comes to global competition. The country took a long time before winning a CAF trophy after Orlando Pirates won the first in 1995. Mamelodi Sundowns won the competition in 2016 and have come close on numerous occasions to winning it again. This is a result of various including politics in the CAF competitions.
This club boss took over as chairman of this side in 2020 in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. He has since done a great job in a short space as he went on to earn qualification to participate in the CAF Champions league. Many will argue that it was a decent campaign as they made a lot of history, however they weren't the favorites from the start.
Sandile Zungu took to social media to share his thoughts after reports of Orlando Pirates being treated unfairly in Tanzania while playing in the Confederations Cup. He went on to share some of his exprience as he revealed that there are a lot of dirty tricks that teams use on the road. He shared that this needs to end as it doesn't benefit African football.

He went on to conclude that Africa football is the pits, it seems like he didn't have the best introduction to continental football.
These issues have been spoken about for a long time, however it is about time that the relevant authorities start to make sure that it doesn't ruin the beautiful game. A number of South African teams have had horror experiences in foreign while this isn't the case when they host these teams in the country.
