Story Behind My Nickname: 16V

In this release of Story Behind My Nickname, the beginning behind Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo's moniker "16V" is uncovered.

However most epithets in South Africa have more than one proprietor, there is only one "16V" and that is Mzansi legend Khumalo.

"He found me there at Kaizer Chiefs when he was advanced," Chiefs legend Zebulon 'Sputla' Nhlapo tells KickOff.

"It was around 1987 when he joined from our hold side that used to play as a shade raiser for our matches, that is where his ability was seen, as he was extremely youthful.

"He was exceptionally shrewd, he is one of the most amazing players to have wore the Kaizer Chiefs pullover.

"He had this football thing, he was skilled, and he was naturally introduced to a football family as his dad bra Pro used to prepare us.

"He was nearly at a similar level as the Ace Ntsoelengoes, when chips are down he would convey the entire group on his shoulders.

"The 16V Golf were the in-thing in those days and very much like the vehicle, you would think he had a turbocharger very much like the Volkswagen.

"Like most monikers, even "16V" came from the allies, the following thing it was all around the media.

"Specialist could make an objective from nothing, a ton of players radiated through him.

"Very much like the vehicle, he was great and attractive, you perceived how he assisted Bafana with winning the main Afcon prize they have in the 1996 last, and he made Mark Williams sparkle."
