It has been confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns will introduce this new signing.
Sundowns is finally prepared to unveil its newest coupe.
The Siya crew can confirm that Mamelodi Sundowns will finally unleash Abubeker Nassir, seven months after hiring him.
The signing of the Ethiopian international, as stated by the Siya team, was completed back in January, according to his former club Ethiopian Coffee.
Nassir was promptly loaned back to his team by Sundowns for the balance of the 2021–2022 season.
Questions have been raised over why the 21-year-old was not introduced as a Sundowns player alongside fellow new acquisitions Ronwen Williams and Sipho Mbule after the player joined his new teammates for preseason preparations where he has been impressive.
Following the player's receipt of his International Transfer Certificate, the Ethiopian Football Federation has now verified via their official Twitter account that Nassir's transfer to Sundowns has been made official.
“Abubakar Nasser officially completed the transfer. Ethiopia's national team striker Abubakar Nasser has received FIFA's ITC confirmation today stating that he has permanently moved to South African club Mamelodi Sundowns,” the tweet read.
In the upcoming days, the club is anticipated to make a formal announcement about his arrival.
