Itumeleng Khune urged to join a rival PSL team

Whenever the members would think of the recent success of Kaizer Chiefs it will be impossible to think of this club without having Itumeleng Khune in mind, and how he was considered as one of the best shitstoppers to have graced the field of Kaizer Chiefs, but recently he has not been at his level best as a result of some challenges he has faced including injuries, personal hurdles and lack of match fitness, and it's year 2022 the former Bafana Bafana number one keeper has not yet regained his momentum on the field of play.

Some people are still considering if Itumeleng Khune is still the same person he once was during his hey days at Amakhosi, even that may be there are still people who strongly believe in the player as they made some suggestions that perhaps it's time for him to part ways with Kaizer Chiefs and join a rival DStv Premiership side.

It will be difficult for the faithful Kaizer Chiefs fans to watch the former number one shotstopper playing for a different team, especially in the DStv Premiership. The 20222 season has not been the best for Khine as he was only featured once under the guidance of Baxter and that was during the MTN 8 clash against Mamelodi Sundowns in August last year, and ever since that match Khune has not been seen in the staring eleven.

A retired goalkeeper by the name of Aime Kitemge has suggested that perhaps ItumelengKhune should consider signing for a team like Royal AM or even AmaZulu FC. He is not old for a goalkeeper and it's not fair that being a 34 year old there are those who would even consider him as a liability, other keepers in Europe have played football until they reached their 40's.
