Mamelodi Sundowns Coach Reveals that the Club will Make More Signings this Month

Mamelodi Sundowns coach reveals the club's January signing plans.

The Brazilians are expected to make more signings this current transfer window despite signing a lot of players in the previous transfer window at the beginning of the season.

The club remain the only club from the big three that has confirmed a new signing this January transfer after confirming the arrival of Surprise Ralani from Cape Town City few weeks ago.

The club's co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi has revealed that Sundowns are not yet done with the signings as the club is expected to make more signings in the remaining weeks of January before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

The club has also been heavily linked by with a Bolivian international player, Erwin Mario Saavedra.

Speaking to the media Mngqithi insisted that the club will make more signings to prepare for the second round of the DStv premiership and Nedbank Cup.

"To be honest, I don’t think we are done. Because we really need to look at ourselves and see exactly where we fell short last time," Mngqithi told Thomas Mlambo on Ultimate Sports Show.

He added that the club will try to add players here and there going to the second round of the season.

The Brazilians will also participate in CAF champions League after the club recently qualified for the group stages of the tournament.

Mngqithi added that there are many positions that they believe they can do well in as Sundowns hence they will consider to add few players to add more options on those positions.

The coach added that people think that the club is signing players for the sake of signing but they are signing because they play a lot of games in a short space of time.

The Brazilians are currently occupying the top spot in the log table with 14 points clear.
