It is the duty of every coach to produce the best players that can play to any major world tournament, and for someone like Kaitano Tembo he will be hoping that some of his players who have been included in the Bafana Bafana's 34 man preliminary squad will make it to the final list of players, that will be included when the national team will be facing off against Ethiopia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers around October.
Bafana Bafana head coach selected two youngsters from SuperSport United the 21 year old Luke Fleurs and the 22 year old Jesse Donn. This is a big step that the Belgian international coach has done once again as he continues to exclude the most recognisable names in the South African football universe. Either way it is a matter of fact that the fan favorites have failed to deliver for the national team, and it had to take someone like Hugo Broos to trust in the players that are undermined and probably unknown to many.
These youngsters are not just players of SuperSport United for the sake of being added in the list of players, they are first team players and they are trusted by their coach for game time, and they have gained the much needed experience as young as they are, Hugo Broos continues to prove his words to be true when he said he will be building a new Bafana Bafana that is infused with young players.
The inclusion of players who are under the age of 23 proves that the intentions of the Belgian man are focused on the future of the team. Kaitano Tembo is delighted that this is something that is happening to the players that he is mentoring, and he has also sent a message of encouragement to other young players that they need to work harder and commit in order to be selected to the national team.
