Premier League

A PSL club for sale. Check the name of the club below

It's reported that a Premier Soccer League is up for sale. The club's name is Marizburg United. The directors of the club are getting nervous about the sizeable debt that the club is in and may well be open to a reasonable purchase offer. The information is reported by Farook Kadodia the chairman of the club. According to Kadodia, the club' debt is R9 million and is in the form of loans the directors have had to make sure that the club stay afloat in the Premier Soccer League.

Kadodia said that they are still struggling to balance their books because of high salaries for players, even though the PSL clubs receive R30 million per season. Kadodia added that the sale of Rushine de Reuck to Mamelodi Sundowns did help them financially and the club is worth R55 million.

The team of choice have started reconstructing their squad for the next season by releasing some of the players.
